THE MISSOURI GAMING COMMISSION CONTINUES THEIR DEPLORABLE
HISTORY OF PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE WHILE IGNORING
STATE LAW WHICH REQUIRES THEM TO REGULATE CASINOS

The Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC)
voted unanimously to operate Aztar Casino
since the new owner, Columbia Sussex failed
a previous attempt to get a license in Missouri
leaving hundreds of employees without jobs.
Who gets the profits while
MGC is operating Aztar?

This is not only a government bail out of private
industry, it's one in which the regulator will operate
that which it regulates. A pure conflict of interest.

AZTAR CASINO WAS WELL AWARE THAT
COLUMBIA WOULD NOT BE LICENSED IN
MISSOURI, YET THEY TURNED THEIR BACK
ON THEIR EMPLOYEES, LEAVING THEM
WITHOUT JOBS AND WALKED AWAY WITH

$ 2 BILLION

OUR MISSOURI CONSTITUTION
only allows gambling on a
limited basis - the state is not
authorized to operate casinos

WHY... DIDN'T THE MGC, WHO DENIED COLUMBIA A
MISSOURI LICENSE, REQUIRE AZTAR TO PROVIDE A BRIDGE
COMPENSATION PACKAGE FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES UNTIL A NEW
OWNER COULD BE LICENSED?

WHY... DIDN'T THE MGC REQUIRE AZTAR TO CONTINUE
OPERATING UNTIL A NEW OWNER COULD BE LICENSED?

THE MISSOURI GAMING COMMISSION
CONTINUES THEIR DEPLORABLE HISTORY OF
PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE
WHILE IGNORING STATE LAW WHICH
REQUIRES THEM TO REGULATE CASINOS
