WHY YOUR HELP IS NEEDED
Urgent! Session ends in two weeks.
This will happen quickly.
4% of our children are addicted to gambling
Hundreds of new gambling arcades will
open across Missouri just as it happened
in Georgian, Florida and other states after they
passed their "Chuck E. Cheese" bills.
SB913 IS GAMBLING EXPANSION!
SB913 is a thinly disguised attempt by the commercial video gaming industry to legalize thousands of machines in gas stations, stores, restaurants, bars and fraternal organizations across Missouri. Mini casinos on every street corner. Their machines look like slots and play like slots but since they pay off with low value coupons exchanged for prizes instead of cash, they would become legal if SB913 passes in the House in the final two weeks of session.
......Just as the casinos used our children as pawns to legalize gambling, the video gaming industry is mimicking their success under the guise of legalizing the arcade games at "Chuck E. Cheese".
......After other states such as Georgia, Texas and Florida passed laws to "protect" Chuck E. Cheese, thousands of gambling arcades opened . Some were legal but many were illegal. It has become a nightmare for law enforcement.

"Anyone who has ever been with a child who is playing games that would be illegal if they paid out in cash
knows how quickly money disappears into these
devices, and how mesmerizing they are to children."

Studies confirm that 4% of our
children are ADDICTED TO GAMBLING
"kids with gambling disorders start at age 9"
"compared to alcohol, drugs and smoking, gambling
is the most popular high-risk activity among teens"
"children addicted to gambling will
lie, steal and attempt suicide"
"the more exposure a child has to gambling,
the more likely he will become addicted"
"the younger a child is introduced to gambling,
the more likely he will have a problem"
SB913 will provide "training wheels" for our kids
as they learn about gambling in restaurants and arcades
